I had fun with these pieces, the dimensions afforded an interesting challenge for composition and I wanted both ladies to be different and yet complement each other.
"Open Heart surgery" (Left) was created to symbolize protecting beauty. My original character omega is protecting this women who's a warrior that is opened up, she's vulnerable.
"Poison" (Right) is a light nod to the song "Poison" by bel big devotee . In "Open Heart Surgery" she's vulnerable and is being protected. In "Poison" the woman resembling poison ivy is unafraid, free and to be feared. The combination of these 2 pieces speak on the duality and spirit of strong women.
