WHERE WE GOIN?, 2018
Where We Goin? was influenced by Roy Lichtenstein’s bold framing, halftone textures, and comic-book aesthetic. I used that visual language to capture a quiet moment between Omega and Red while expanding the story surrounding the Big Bad Wolf series.
This piece marks the introduction of Red, Omega’s main love interest. Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood, she is tough, strong-willed, slightly tomboyish, and deeply connected to nature. She is self-sufficient and fully capable of choosing her own path.
Although Omega is behind the wheel, he looks to Red for direction. That detail reflects how often men look to women for inspiration, intuition, and a clearer sense of where they are going. We may perform, build, and push ourselves forward, but much of that effort is also influenced by the women whose attention and respect matter to us.
Where We Goin? celebrates the natural power women carry and the trust it takes to let someone help guide the journey, even when your hands are on the wheel.
